I’m finally at that age where all of my girlfriends are getting married. I mean I’m only 24 but it seems like every day there is a new friend getting married or having a baby. It’s hard to keep up! But this weekend I headed to a bachelorette party for my first college girlfriend. We met freshman year at volleyball practice and have been friends ever since. It’s special when you can keep a friend through the trial and tribulations of college. 7 years & going strong!
All of this bachelorette party talk made me think about where I would want to have my bachelorette party so I started doing some research. I’ve come up with my top 5 destinations for your (or your friends) bachelorette party.
Las Vegas, NV
Classic destination. Some people hate Vegas, some people love it. I’m one of those people who love it. This city has everything you could need for a proper bachelor(ette) party. You have clubs, pools, shows, dinners and shopping just to name a few. If you plan ahead you can make Vegas happen on a reasonable budget.
Isla Mujeres, Mexico
Cancun is hot spot destination but if you had just a little further south, you can experience Isla Mujeres. Set yourself up in an all-inclusive and spend your time relaxing with your favorite people. The beaches are some of the best in the world and there will be something to please everyone in your group. Try planning some water activities like paddle boarding or jet skiing to add some fun to your beach days.
New Orleans, LA
New Orleans is a destination that speaks for itself. Your only reasoning for going here is really to have a good time. Bourbon street, booze, dancing. The atmosphere is intoxicating and perfect for your last horrah.
San Juan, Puerto Rico
San Juan is one of my favorite places in the world because it’s so beautiful, the food is amazing and the people are so friendly. This is a perfect destination because it’s inexpensive and there is tons of to. Between relaxing on the beach to venturing through jungles, you could make this an adventurous party. Check out the rest of my tips for San Juan here.
Montreal seems to be the new hot spot for bachelor(ette) parties. It’s a quick drive for those of you in New York and a relatively inexpensive flight. This city is filled with things to do and comes in at a cheaper price than Las Vegas or New Orleans. You can also say you left the country for your bachelor(ette) party. Tres Chic.
