How To Create The Most Magical Bloody Mary Bar

It’s Sunday morning, aka time for Bloody Marys.

This is easily my favorite beverage next to wine.

There is nothing more magical than curing a hangover on a Sunday morning than with a Bloody Mary. Below I’ve given you all of the tools to create the most magical Bloody Mary Bar. This is perfect for parties or brunch at your house. Most of the ingredients are relatively inexpensive so it makes for an easy (yet impressive!) idea.

You’ll need some tools to get this bar started:

  • Skewers to hold all the goodness
  • Ice
  • Pitchers for the mix
  • Plates and bowls for toppings

The Bloody Mary

You can use a pre made mix, but I find making your own is the best option to ensure a nice fresh taste. Here you also have the option to make the mix mild or spicy, or both. Mix all of the ingredients below together and chill until ready to use.

  • 1 48 ounce can of tomato juice
  • 3 tablespoons prepared creamy hot horseradish
  • 3 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 2¼ teaspoons celery salt
  • 3 teaspoons garlic salt
  • Tabasco sauce (to taste)
  • Freshly ground black pepper

When it comes to the booze you can go vodka for the traditional Bloody Mary or you can crazy and use tequila for a Bloody Maria. Pickle infused vodka also adds an added punch.

Fill your glass with ice then add 2 oz of vodka and fill the rest of your glass with the bloody mary mixture. If you want to get crazy, dip the rim of your glass in some flavored salts. That’ll definitely give it an added kick. Time to add your extras.

If your veggies are soaked in booze, they still count as being healthy, right? Try these veggies as garnishes for your drink.

  • Lemons & Limes
  • Olives
  • Celery
  • Cucumber
  • Pepperocinis
  • Kosher Pickles

Meat & Cheese

Self explanatory.

  • Bacon
  • Shrimp (cooked)
  • Oysters
  • Beef Jerky
  • Cheese Cubes
  • Hard Boiled Egg
  • Cubed Pieces of Steak (personal fave)

For those of you who want to add an extra zing to your drink you can add some spices like these ones.

  • Garlic Powder or Salt
  • Olive Brine
  • Pickle Juice
  • Lemon Pepper
  • Seasoned Salts
  • Fresh Ground Pepper
  • Celery Salt

  • Hot Sauce
  • BBQ Sauce
  • Steak Sauce (yasss)
  • Sriracha
  • Worcestershire sauce

There you have it. Spread all of this goodness out on a table and let your guest have at it! Enjoy babes! Let me know in the comments what you’re favorite toppings are in your Bloody Marys!

More From Chel Loves Wine

  1. The restaurant we took my mom and grandma to for Mother’s Day had a Bloody Mary bar. They also had pickled okra. Never seen that addition before!

  2. I love the idea of a Bloody Mary and I don’t actually drink them. 🙂 I think they’re the coolest looking drinks, though, and would love to see what people do with them with the variety of toppings you have here.

  3. YAS to the steak sauce! I went to a Fathers Day Brunch and they did lobster claws, shrimp, pepperoni, pepper jack cheese, and olives-holy goodness! I am bloody mary obsessed!

  4. This sounds like a lot of fun! I’ve never been one to try new things but I think this would be awesome for a summer party!

    1. Definitely works great for the summer! You should definitely give it a try, I think you may like what you taste!
