Elevated Raspberry Mules Made With Absolut Elyx

Is it just me or do cocktails taste better during the holidays?

It’s just something about the lights, family, the cranberries bobbing in your spritzer. Everything feels so warm and playful. I wanted to make a cocktail that also embodied that feeling and that is why I’ve partnered with Absolut Elyx to make that happen.

Absolut Elyx

Absolut Elyx is not your every day vodka. It is a single estate, copper crafted vodka that is the luxury expression of Absolut. Absolut Elyx fully embraces being warm, playful and stylish from the bottle design, to their signature copper mugs all the way down to the company itself. It is vodka, elevated.

Master Distiller Krister Asplund and his team analyzed everything they know about making Absolut and fine tuned it to perfect what Absolut Elyx would become. The vodka is made by hand on the Råbelöf estate in Southern Sweden with winter wheat (which they grow and practice sustainable farming!) and water that comes from only a few miles away. The whole entire process of making Elyx itself is done within a 15 mile radius of the estate. Talk about farm to my cocktail.

Why Does Copper Make It Better?

So you heard me say that this is “copper crafted” vodka. What does that even mean? Why is it important? Well here is why:

Copper has been used for a long time to make vodka, but it’s expensive so cheaper brands moved away from it, which led to a poor tasting vodka (you know that “I thought I bought vodka not rubbing alcohol” feeling). Copper works similar to stainless steel in that it doesn’t add any harmful materials into the vodka. Instead it removes any unwanted compounds.

But why use copper then if you can use stainless steel? It’s simple. Copper tastes SO MUCH BETTER. It adds so much to the vodka resulting in this rich and flavorful spirit which you’ll appreciate. Absolut uses a process called “copper catalyzation” which uses sacrificial copper in to get the vodka maximum contact with the copper. They also use vintage copper from 1921 (so trendy!)

Raspberry Mule

Here is the recipe for a super simple cocktail. I don’t like to get too fancy when it comes to my mixed drinks. I like to be able to have the ingredients to speak for themselves andddd I’m also lazy, so theres that too.

This is a simple combo of Absolut Elyx, raspberry cordial, fresh lime juice and ginger beer. It’s fresh and clean and so great for sipping all night long.

Once you try Absolut Elyx, I think you’re going to have a hard time drinking any other vodka. Don’t say I didn’t warn you! You can head here to see where you can purchase Absolut Elyx around you or order online! With every bottle of Elyx sold in the United States, Absolut donates a weeks worth of safe drinking water for those in need through their partnership with Water for People. Just another reason to buy Absolut Elyx!
