My bar cart is one of the coolest things I own.
It makes me feel like I’m really adulting by having this beautiful, fully stocked bar cart around to entertain my guests. Stocking a bar cart can be overwhelming because there are a lot of components but keep reading below for bar cart stocking and styling 101.
Top Shelf: This should be filled with liquor since that is what is used the most. If you’re not looking to go all out, you should have at least one dark liquor and one clear one. However, if you’re looking to stock your bar full should have Whiskey, Vodka, Bourbon, Rum, Gin and my personal favorite, Tequila.
Bottom Shelf: This is where you keep all of your mixers, beer and wines. Some seltzer, club soda, champagne, ginger beer, and all of your juices (orange, pineapple, cranberry).
Wine and Bottle Opener
Glassware is my favorite part of the whole bar cart. It’s the finishing touch to that beautiful cocktail you just created. I personally think you only need these 5 types of glasses in your cart; pint glass, red wine glass, cocktail glass (martini), tumbler and a highball glass. Bonus points if you want to add shot glasses or a champagne flutes.
Extras are what really make your bar cart yours. A vase of flowers, some cool magazines or trinkets all help make your bar cart look finished. I personally have a small vase with some flowers in it and a stack of super awesome rose gold coasters.
