I don’t always drink wine.
Living in New York City has definitely given me an advantage because we have SO MANY healthy options to chose from (and so many un-healthy ones too). Looking for a vegan croissant? Got it. Poke bowls that taste like you’re eating them in Oahu? Check. Gluten-free, dairy-free cake? What flavor would you like? We have 15 to chose from.
So in my new found quest for health I went to Create, which is a health friendly restaurant with multiple locations in NYC. I went to my Astoria based location and picked up a healthy and delicious dinner! Personal fan of the Green-colada smoothie and the Greek bowl. It’s a combo of brown rice, feta, cucumber, tomato, red onion and peppers drizzled with red wine vinegar, olive oil and oregano. Talk about amazing.
Another favorite spot for vegan fried fly food is “by Chloe”. Their food is amazing and delicious. I highly recommend you try a Guac burger and cupcake!
Eating healthy doesn’t have to suck guys. Life is all about balance! So I’m going to go balance out this healthy dinner wth three glasses of wine. Bye!
Another perk of living in NYC, all the cool events are here. I was able to stop by the Taste Guide Event hosted by S.Pellegrino at Pier 45 right on the Hudson River. S.Pellegrino was really inspired by all these amazing new foods like those vegan cupcakes and veggie burgers that I mentioned above!! At the event I was able to snack on some goodies from Chef April Bloomfield (amazing chef behind The Spotted Pig!) and Ludo Lefebvre, sip some of my favorite natural mineral water.
